Read this some time in June. Gussow is an engaging writer and I really couldn’t put this down. She has written a book about changing homes and adjusting to life in new places and without loved ones by writing about her gardens. It is interesting to see gardening as a unifying theme, not just in the writing, but in her life as an experience and process of place-making and place-knowing. Brilliant and recommended.
